Thank you for praying for our area throughout this situation with the oil spill. Currently the beaches nearest us are still oil free. However, we continue to declare a miracle and covet your prayers in this time.
The following links are local sources that will provide more accurate information on the condition of our beaches than the national media:

Eddy DeCastro and his wife are celebrating their first Texas Thanksgiving this year, after transplanting from their home in Florida less than one year earlier, when obeying the voice of God completely changed their circumstances.
After 23 years of government service, DeCastro's job was terminated in 2004. In the years that followed, DeCastro and his wife attempted multiple businesses and a church, none of which ultimately succeeded, leaving them facing bankruptcy.
“Miraculously, God kept our credit in tact," said DeCastro.

A seasonal drought in southern California has CI Apostolic Network ministers praying for rain to relieve water restraints, heat waves and fire.
“The rain hasn’t been significant enough to fill reservoirs,” said Apostle Carlos Baide, CIAN’s Southern California Regional Team Leader.
Residents in Southern California have been asked to cut back on water usage, Baide said.
CIAN ministers in California are less affected by the fires than they are the water shortage, Baide said, although the drought has led to the greatest fire damage since 2007.

In the early years, Evelyn "Mom" and I were traveling in ministry with our son, Tim, who was a year and a half old. We were in Muscogee, Oklahoma doing meetings in a small country church. They didn't have a pastor and every night after I would minister they would place the basket on the altar and say, "We know you're all poor and you don't have anything, but if you could find something to give to the minister that would be a blessing." After about two weeks of ministering there, paying for our own food, gas and other needs, we were averaging about fifty cents per night in the offering. Even in 1958, fifty cents was not very much money. Someone gave us a five pound block of commodity cheese and Evelyn purchased some macaroni and the two of us lived off of macaroni and cheese. She had also stocked up on some baby food for Tim.
