At Christian International Equipping Network, we want to meet you where you are! Christian International has developed various ways for helping students further their education beyond the traditional classroom setting to meet you where you are.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and a proper understanding of its content and message is essential for the integration of all knowledge. Christian International School of Theology places the Bible at the core of its curricula.

As instrumental music plays in the background some students lay down on the floor. Others kneel or simply bow their heads as they ask God to show and heal the hurts and wounds of the past. In response to God’s healing touch, prayers are written down with tears in their eyes.
I will never forget one Wednesday morning when the Holy Spirit spoke to me in Gilgal about surrendering my dream of staying at the Ministry Training College. I struggled because I knew that God sent me here all the way from Germany, but He was testing my obedience and my trust in Him. Due to financial and VISA difficulties, I thought that surrendering my dream would mean that my time at Christian International was over. With tears running down my face, I wrote the following in my Gilgal journal: “Lord, I give it to you, my dream, everything that I valued so highly, even my dream of being and staying here. Father in Heaven, I give it all to you. I let go. When it is no longer Your will for me to stay here—that is fine with me. I give it up. You were and are the reason that I am here. You made it possible for me to get here and just as you were the one who brought me here, so it is now up to You to carry me through this time or to send me somewhere else. Lord it is up to You! Do with me whatever You want! As long as I am with You, and as long as I live Your dream and not my dream, then I am the happiest person on earth, because You are my dream!”
While I was writing this prayer, the Holy Spirit showed me I was always trying to do everything myself. Because deep inside I thought, “No one takes care of me.” God was dealing with my independent spirit that morning. As I surrendered my dream to Him, He started a deep work within my heart. He not only brought light to a dark area in my life, but He also made a way for me to get my VISA-extension. I had to leave the U. S. in order to get the extension on my VISA, but I did not have any money to do so. That Wednesday morning, right after class, somebody came to me and offered me a free trip outside the U. S.! I have my VISA-extension and now I can finish what God has started. All glory to God “who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen!” (Eph. 3:20-21) NKJ

As we began Gilgal, a journey to a closer more intimate relationship with God, we all wondered what to expect. I thought that there was nothing hindering my relationship with God. I know better than to let anything separate me from God, but did I ever have a shock in store. The work through Gilgal was intense. It’s like peeling an onion layer after layer. Many times I thought, “This is it, I have ‘covered’ everything now,” only to find the Holy Spirit revealing more and more things I needed to deal with.
Sue Slusher, our Dean, kept us focused and urged us along continually telling us that unless we are reflecting the love of Jesus then we are not truly building the Kingdom of God. She seemed to know exactly what to say to encourage us along the way, when we felt sandwiched between a rock and a hard place.
Gilgal is a tool to go into deeper places with God. It reveals the relationships in our life that need to be mended, fears that need to be repented of, vows that separate us from trusting, and wounds that need to be healed. Gilgal reinforced the work of the cross in our lives and the willingness and eagerness of God to talk to us and answer our questions.
One day I got bogged down in my journaling. Chanda told me to just write questions and prayers to God. As simple as it sounds, it worked. Working through Gilgal will increase your hunger for God as you are cleansed and consecrated unto Him. We are daily learning to lean on God, hear Him more clearly, and trust in His love and care for us. The intimacy and depth accomplished by Gilgal is immeasurable and priceless.
