(A “Second Wind”for the Third and Final Apostolic Reformation) A second Wind Phenomenon God is releasing a “second” wind that will enable us to “Run with Him” and “Run to Win” in 2010. This wind of His Spirit and breath of life will prepare us to fulfill the purposes and destiny of the Third and Final Apostolic Reformation.
Therefore since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus , the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12: 1-3 A “second wind” is a phenomenon in distance running such as a marathon or road running (as well as other sports) where an athlete who is too out of breath and tired to continue suddenly finds the strength to press on at top performance with less exertion. Some scientists believe the second wind to be a result of the body finding the proper balance of oxygen to counteract the buildup of lactic acid in the muscles; others claim that a second wind is related to endorphin production, while still others believe it is psychological. Whatever the underlying reason for this “second wind” phenomenon in the natural realm, it results in a beyond the norm ability for athletes to do things and accomplish goals that only a few moments before were not possible. There is a parallel to this in the supernatural realm and we are in that season of time in the Lord. Many have run to a point that they feel it is impossible to continue but God is saying that He is releasing a new wind of His Spirit that will enable us to be successful in His purposes by His supernatural strengthening. Breath of Life and the Wind of the Lord! There have been several times in scripture where the “wind of the Lord” or “His breath of life” brought about great transformation and change. 1) Then the Lord God formed man out of the dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2: 7 This was the first time that something without life came alive due to the breath or wind of the Lord. Adam became alive to purpose and destiny because God breathed His life into Him. This was the start of mankind running a race toward this current earthly eras finish line of the Lord. We are the generation today taking the baton from past generations to see and cross this eras finish line of God’s plan. There are many situations and circumstances today where we will come alive in new ways to see and experience the purpose of the Lord. This is a time for the fulfillment of Apostolic and Prophetic Destiny because God will empower us to do it. 2) And when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place, and suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Acts 2:1-2 Much like the suddenly experienced by the marathon runners that enables them to continue with a new vigor and pace, the early believers experienced a supernaturally suddenly that empowered them to be witnesses like never before. The early church at this time experienced a great transformation and reformation. The Lord began to add to their numbers day by day of those that believed the word of the Lord. We are in a time period of a great harvest of souls in the earth. This will be a time of the former rain and latter rain at the same time to bring forth the harvest. 3) …but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: “And it shall be in the last days, God says, That I will pour forth of My Spirit upon all mankind; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams; Even upon My bond slaves, both men and women. I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit…...and it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2: 16-21 This is a time spoken of by the prophet Joel of a great out pouring of the Spirit and the “wind” of the Lord. This is the season of the “second wind” for the finishing generation to run the race of the Lord. This will be a time of God’s Spirit being poured out for a great harvest of souls in the earth. From young to old there will be a charge to finish running the race of the Lord, each with a specific lane of direction. Many will have assignments that permeate the systems of the world and bring the power of God to individuals within those mountains to see reformation happen. The power of the prophetic Word of the Lord will cause an awakening of both the church and the world. This will move us closer to the time where the “kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.” This literally means a time where the rule of the cosmos shall change. It is important for every believer to be intentionally evangelistic in this season. God will confirm His Word with signs wonders and miracles for a demonstration to the lost.
